Literal, Phenomenal and Subliminal Transparency

The following images were sent to me by my friend and architect Michael Bell. The glass house he designed is set in a beautiful property in the woods of NY. As you may see the glass façade creates a level of subliminal transparency where the vegetation becomes wallpaper. Michael is an outstanding architect and currently the coordinator of Housing Studio at Colombia University. His projects for private clients have been hand picked resulting in extraordinary detailed constructions such as the pictured here, yet his work with larger social issues such as public housing is an important oeuvre in academia and real life conditions.
